Terms of Business

AGE

We will not under any circumstances sell to anyone who is under 18 years old. By using this website and/or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Please note it is a criminal offence for a person under 18 years old to purchase or attempt to purchase alcohol for themselves or on behalf of a person under the age of 18 years.

Your DatA

By giving us your details when using our website, you agree to us maintaining and using that information to process your orders, to improve our service to you and inform you of any promotions. We collect data lawfully and maintain it in strict accordance with the new General Data Protection Regulations that came into effect from 25 May 2018. We take data privacy very seriously and will never pass on, lease, disclose or sell your data onto other parties.

We use your data for the following purposes only:

  • To verify your age
  • To obtain authorisation for your payment
  • To process your order
  • To contact you regarding any specific enquiry you make
  • If you have consented, to notify you of products or Club member offers that may be of interest to you
  • Where required or otherwise permitted to do so by applicable laws and/or regulations, for the purpose of responding to a court order, or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or other government agency, or in order for us to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend legal claims

When processing your orders your data will be disclosed to the following business to enable us to send your fantastic spirits:

  • For the purpose of processing your payment
  • To Royal Mail only for the purpose of delivering your order swiftly and safely to you

Process

Subsequent to placing an order and completing your payment, you will receive a confirmation email from us to confirm we have received your request for our product(s). We advise this is not proof that we have accepted your order. Our confirmation of acceptance will be sent as a 'Dispatch Confirmation' email. This is the point when a contract is formed between us (Club Connoisseur) and you (the Customer).

If we cannot supply the product by the date you require, we will inform you and not process the order. You will of course receive a full refund including delivery as soon as possible.

deliveries

We will not be liable for any redelivery charges if you are not able to accept the products you have ordered at the agreed time. Our delivery partners (nor Club Connoisseur) are not responsible for any loss or theft if you provide instructions to leave our products outside your address or with neighbours. If you are not able to receive the items our delivery service will leave a message informing you of where you can collect your items from.

If Club Connoisseur delivers an item 7 calendar days beyond the estimated delivery day, then the item shall be classed as 'faulty' and you may cancel the order and request a refund if you wish.

Refunds

You have a legal right to cancel a Contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

The date when you receive the dispatch confirmation is the first day of your right to cancel the 'Consumer Contract'. You may cancel up to 14 days after you receive the product (this legal right does not apply when the sealed product is unsealed after you receive it). If you decide to cancel your contract, please let us know immediately by email. We will refund you (via your original payment method) the price of the product. If the product has not been dispatched we will also refund delivery costs. If the item has already been dispatched you will have to pay any delivery costs to return the item before you receive your refund for the cost of the item only.

If a product is faulty, we will provide a full refund including delivery and return delivery costs or an alternative product of a similar value of your choosing (providing you notify us within 5 working days). The return delivery costs for any returned faulty products should not exceed £6.

Liability

If you are a business: when purchasing our products, we will not be liable to you for any loss of sales, profit or reputation. We remain liable, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

If you are a consumer: You must notify us within 5 working days of receiving the product that your product is faulty. We will not be liable for any indirect losses occurred resulting from the purchasing of our product. We shall pay no compensation other than the value of the faulty product and potentially delivery costs.

We only sell these products for domestic and private use. Customers should be aware of the dangers involved when drinking alcohol. We advise that our products should be consumed in moderation. Bottles should be opened carefully and glassware handled with care.

Events outside of our control

If an 'Event Outside Our Control' takes place we will contact you to notify you that our contract is suspended. We will arrange a new delivery date after the 'Event Outside Our Control' is over

Products

The images on the website will almost always reflect the product and packaging customers receive. On rare occasions your product may differ slightly.

Changes to Terms

If we have to revise these Terms during your order we will email you of the changes and offer a refund if you wish to accept it.
